Gogogogo
The Gogogogo Project area, located approximately six hundred and fifty kilometers southwest from Antananarivo,
occurs within the coastal seabord province of Toliara. The project comprises one hundred and sixty-six
Graticular Blocks and the area under tenure totals over one thousand square kilometers. Project title is one
hundred percent (100%) in the name of PAMM.
Access
Access to the project is south and southwest from Antananarivo, along the bitumen Route Nationale-7,
for a distance of approximately seven hundred kilometers, then south along the Route Nationale-10, for a
distance of approximately one hundred and fifty kilometers, to the small town of Ejeda, then northeast
along a Route Secondaire, for a distance of thirty-five kilometers to the town of Gogogogo. Gogogogo is
located immediately south and east from the licenced area. General project infrastructure is considered
moderate.
The Gogogogo project occurs towards the southwest corner of the central high plateau. The geology of
this area is complex and underexplored. Rock types are generally gneissic amphibolites. Some western parts
of the tenement area are covered by Phanerozoic sediments. The general area is characterised by numerous
north-northeast trending faults and north-northeast trending granitic intrusions. Recent work by the
BRGM (1985) places the southwest crystalline basement of Madagascar in the Lower Proterozoic.
From the Service Géologique Carte Miniere Et Des Indices (1956 ; Direction de la Geologie
Library, Antananarivo), the project area shows occurrences of gold, copper, chrome, iron and manganese.
In addition, the Company considers the geolory of the area prospective for diamonds.
The Company considers that the Gogogogo Project has potential for open cut gold and diamond mining.
