Kianjavato
The Kianjavato Project, located approximately three hundred kilometers south from Antananarivo, occurs in
the central southern province of Fianarantsoa. The project comprises one hundred and twenty five contiguous
squares and the area under tenure totals over seven hundred and eighty square kilometers. Project title is
one hundred percent (100%) in the name of PAMM.
Access
Access to the project is south from Antananarivo, along the Route Nationale-7, for a distance of approximately
three hundred kilometerskilometers, then east and south along the Route Nationale-45 and Route Secondaire for
a distance of approximately one hundred and thirty kilometers, to the project area. General project
infrastructure is considered moderate.
The project area occurs within an Archaean high plateau crystalline basement. Typical rock types are
gneissic and granitoid migmatites and from Besairie (1966) these rock types are interbedded in a complex way.
The general area is characterized by numerous northwest trending faults and to a lesser degree northeast and
north – northeast faults. The general area is under explored.
From the Service Géologique Carte Miniere Et Des Indices (1956 ;
Direction de la Geologie library, Antananarivo), the licensed area contains occurrences of gold. The
Company regards its geology as prospective for diamonds as well as gold.
