Gold
PAMM has acquired extensive land holdings with potential for significant gold prospects. The company
currently holds approximately 4087 square kilometers of permits in three major gold targets. These three
target areas Dabolava, Andavakoera and Andramasina are considered primary targets for exploration
and will be the major focus of the companies initial drilling and exploration program.
The Dabolava region was one of Madagascar's main gold mining centers in the early to mid 20th
century with most of production from surface enriched deposits. Mineralization is controlled by parallel
sets of relatively narrow veins that carry from 10 to 30 g/t gold. The gold mineralization predates, but
was not significantly affected by a thermal event that recrystallized the host strata.
vScars from mining operations mark the traces of many productive zones that remain to be tested at depth.
Quartz veining near old workings suggests potential for stockwork style gold mineralization. BRGM grid
geochemical anomalies for copper and gold remain untested and a strong copper anomaly identified by the
BRGM near Kiranomena has VMS potential. A pilot stream sampling program, conducted by the BRGM,
demonstrated the effectiveness of the technique.
PAMM's Dabolava Project area has potential for bulk minable surface gold mineralzation, stockwork
porphyry gold mineralization and VMS mineralization that justifies systematic exploration.
The Andavakoera region was one of Madagascar's main gold mining centers in the early 20th century
with most of production derived from surfaced enriched lag deposits. Mineralization occurs in parallel
and orthogonal sets of quartz and quartz-barite veins that locally carry from 20 to 60g/t gold.
PAMM holds exploration permits over more than 1900 km square of the northeast and southwest extensions
of the main historic workings on BRGM's Betsiaka property. Informal gold production and quartz and
quartz-barite veins observed in the southwest part of the A5 project provide sufficient evidence of
gold potential to justify an initial exploration program using modern geochemical and geophysical
methods and overburden drilling.
Permian sediments to the west of Betsiaka have many features of Carlin type gold mineralization
and should be prospected for fine grained gold in carbon bearing rocks. Potential for stratiform
lead-zinc mineralization in overlying Triassic strata, suggested by the BRGM, warrants further
evaluation. Stream silt sampling and examination of known prospects provide cost effective methods
of selecting target areas.
The Andramasina region was one of Madagascar's main gold mining centers for 65 years beginning
in 1885 with most of production from stream placers and surfaced enriched eluvial deposits. Primary
mineralization, controlled by parallel sets of veins and stringers, has not been evaluated. The gold
mineralization predates, but was not significantly affected by a thermal event that recrystallized
the host strata.
Scars from mining operations mark the traces of possible bedrock sources that remain to be tested.
Quartz veining near old workings suggests potential for stockwork style gold mineralization.
PAMM's Andramasina project area has potential for mesothermal vein mineralization, bulk minable
alluvial and eluvial gold mineralization and for stockwork gold mineralization that justifies a
systematic exploration program.
